Each term runs until its time or mileage limit, whichever comes first. The mileage limit in each row is the total on the
odometer, not miles added after you buy. If you later sell the MDX to another private party, the balance of its powertrain and
non-powertrain coverage transfers to the new owner.
Acura's other certified tier, Precision Used, accepts Acura vehicles 10 years old or newer, counted from their first day in
service to the time of sale. It has shorter coverage and no rental reimbursement or AcuraLink trial. An Acura listed as
certified can belong to either tier, so before you buy,
ask us which tier a certified MDX
carries and how much of its coverage is left.
Acura repairs or replaces a covered part that is defective in materials or workmanship under normal use. Powertrain coverage
includes the engine, the transmission and transfer case, and the front-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive systems.
Non-powertrain coverage includes:
- The fuel system, suspension and steering
- Brake parts such as the calipers
- Air conditioning
- Electrical parts and sensors
- Factory-installed audio and navigation
Items that are not covered include:
- Maintenance and wear items such as brake pads and rotors, spark plugs, filters and wiper blades
- Emission system parts
- Body parts, interior, trim and glass
- Wheels and the 12-volt battery
