2026 Acura Integra Type S

The 2026 Acura Integra Type S is the performance Integra, a 5-door liftback with a 320-hp 2.0-liter turbo and a 6-speed manual as its only transmission. It also gets Brembo front brakes and 19-inch summer tires. Acura sells it as its own trim at the top of the lineup rather than as a package on the A-Spec.

Here in Central Indiana, you can check our new Integra listings for a Type S and schedule a test drive online.

How the Type S Differs from the A-Spec with Technology Package

How the Type S Differs from the A-Spec with Technology Package

The 2026 Integra comes in 4 trims, from the bottom of the lineup to the top: Integra, Integra A-Spec, Integra A-Spec with Technology Package and Integra Type S. Here is how the Type S compares with the trim just below it:

Feature A-Spec with Technology Package Integra Type S
Engine 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder
Horsepower 200 hp 320 hp
Transmission CVT or 6-speed manual 6-speed manual only
Front suspension MacPherson strut Dual Axis Strut
Front brakes 12.3-inch ventilated discs 13.8-inch ventilated discs; Brembo 4-piston calipers
Wheels and tires 18-inch wheels; all-season tires 19-inch wheels; summer tires

Choosing the Type S means taking the bigger engine, the manual, the Brembo brakes and the summer tires together, since it comes in one configuration. The A-Spec with the Technology Package keeps the 1.5-liter and lets you choose a CVT or the manual. It also carries several comforts the Type S does without.

The 2.0-Liter Turbo and the 6-Speed Manual

The 2.0-Liter Turbo and the 6-Speed Manual

Only the Type S gets the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder; every other 2026 Integra uses a 1.5-liter turbo. The 2.0-liter makes 120 more horsepower and 118 more lb-ft of torque than the 1.5-liter, making the Type S the most powerful Integra in the 2026 lineup. Unlike the 1.5-liter cars, it has no Idle Stop.

Engine specification 1.5-Liter Turbo: Other Trims 2.0-Liter Turbo: Type S
Horsepower 200 hp at 6,000 rpm 320 hp at 6,500 rpm
Torque 192 lb-ft at 1,800–5,000 rpm 310 lb-ft at 2,600–4,000 rpm
Idle Stop Included Not available

The only transmission is a 6-speed manual with Rev-Match Control, a lightweight single-mass flywheel and a helical limited-slip differential. The Technology Package version of the A-Spec has the same 3 features when it comes with the manual. Like every 2026 Integra, the Type S uses front-wheel drive.

Suspension, Width and Ground Clearance

Suspension, Width and Ground Clearance

The Type S has its own front suspension, a Dual Axis Strut design in place of the MacPherson strut on the 1.5-liter cars. The Adaptive Damper System comes on both the Type S and the A-Spec that carries the Technology Package. Type S drive modes are Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual. Sport+ and the Active Exhaust Valve come only on the Type S.

The Type S comes on summer tires, while the A-Spec trims use all-season tires. If you plan to drive it year-round, talk with our Tire Center about tires for Indiana winters.

The Type S body is 2.8 inches wider than the trim just below it, and it sits lower, as these figures show:

Feature A-Spec with Technology Package Integra Type S
Length 185.8 inches 186.0 inches
Width 72.0 inches 74.8 inches
Height 55.5 inches 55.4 inches
Wheelbase 107.7 inches 107.7 inches
Ground clearance, unladen 5.1 inches 4.0 inches

The Type S has the least ground clearance of any 2026 Integra, so check it against your own driveway and parking ramps.

What the 2026 Integra Type S Cost at Launch

The 2026 Integra Type S launched at $53,400 MSRP, the highest price in the 2026 Integra lineup. The Technology Package A-Spec launched at $39,200 with either transmission, so the step up to the Type S was $14,200. Is the Type S the Right Integra for You?

Is the Type S the Right Integra for You?

Choose the Type S if: you want the 2.0-liter turbo and are happy to drive a manual every day. It also fits if the Brembo front brakes, the Dual Axis Strut front suspension and the summer tires matter more to you than a moonroof or Traffic Jam Assist.

Look at the A-Spec with the Technology Package if: you want the choice of a CVT, all-season tires, higher EPA estimates or more ground clearance. You keep the head-up display and ELS audio, gain the moonroof, driver's seat memory and the other comforts the Type S leaves off, and pay a much lower MSRP at launch. The Type S is not the right pick if someone who shares the car needs a transmission without a clutch pedal.
