Understanding the Trim Levels of the 2025 Acura MDX: Luxury SUV Options
MDX
The baseline Acura MDX delivers 290 horsepower, 267 lb-ft of torque, and a 10-speed transmission system. The front-wheel drive comes with a power-lift tailgate, a panoramic moonroof, LED headlights and taillights, integrated turn signals, and capless fuel fill. Inside, the trim offers leatherette-trimmed seats, heated front seats, push-button ignition, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls.
The MDX is also loaded with various entertainment and safety features. For entertainment, the MDX is equipped with an 11-speaker audio system, built-in Alexa and Google, Bluetooth audio streaming, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen display.
Technology Package
Upgrading to the Technology Package will get you larger tires and wheels, smart entry featuring Walk Away Auto Lock on all doors, and hands-free access with Walk Away Auto Lock on the power-lift tailgate. The upgrade will also give you a 19-speaker audio system, power-folding mirrors, leather-trimmed sports seats, three-position memory for the front passenger seat, remote engine start, ambient lighting, and GPS-linked climate control.
A-Spec Package
The A-Spec is a standard all-wheel drive trim with plenty of new features from its former trims. It gains a sportier look with a leather-wrapped flat-bottom sport steering wheel, stainless-steel premium leather-wrapped seats with piping, geometric-patterned aluminum trim, and a stainless-steel footrest and pedals. It also includes LED fog lights and heating and ventilation in the front seats.
Advance Package
The MDX Advance Package gains LED lighting on the outer door handles, roof rails, leather sports seats with quilting, 16-way power seats, and heating in the second row of seating. It also brings luxury with the inclusion of open-pore wood trim on the interior, a surround-view camera system, premium silver split 10-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, extra USB charging ports, and a 10.5-inch head-up display.
A-Spec Advance
The A-Spec Advance is an improved version of the sporty A-Spec Package combined with the Advance Package. In comparison to the A-Spec, the A-Spec Advance adds a third row of USB charging ports, a surround-view camera system, head-up warning, and a 10.5-inch head-up display.
Type S Advance
The final trim level of the new Acura MDX achieves larger tires and black machined-finished wheels. New additions also include adaptive air suspension with auto-leveling, smoother shifting, an active exhaust valve, a front 4-piston braking system, an Electro-Servo braking system, and a 31-speaker audio system. Additional safety features include cornering speed assist, evasive steer warning, active lane change assist, a front cross-traffic warning, and lane collision mitigation.
